Man, that's some physical stuff, right there. I just live down the road from Waxahachie, I'll have to keep an eye out for these competions in the future. Look's like they would be a lot of fun to watch... Thanks for the vid.

Very cool video, i'm gonna go through your entire playlist! :D

Mrs. Santa has me a Benchmade 171 BladeSports 'Chopper' wrapped under the tree. I can't wait 'til Christmas dinner at the in-laws - and to be asked to 'cut' the turkey or ham...

I am glad you guys are enjoying and discovering this very cool sport. BladeSports International has been around for 4 years now, and we are still trying to find ways for people to discover and participate in this sport.

Great God!
What kind of knives/choppers are they using?

The standard for a competition knife is a 15" long with a 10" blade with a maximum blade width of 2". Many competitors are using the Benchmade 171, which is one of 2 authorized factory knives that can be used in competition. The other factory knife approved for competition is the Browning Crowell/Barker Competition Knife. Many competitors are using custom made knives. These knives are made by member/competitors.

Ted Ott is a powerful individual, and has cut the vertical 2x4 a couple of times in competition.
