Has anyone seen the film Annihilation & noticed the knife / dagger used to cut open that dude's belly? Sorry to start a thread without pics.

LOL nice. Didnt see it yet, but I already know you're not allowed to carry it. ;)

I'll take a look later, you can watch it on Netflix in a few countries outside of the US

Looks to be a SOG S14 Pentagon Combat Dagger.

Not really a great knife in my opinion, but it was a great movie.

Graphic clip for the curious (skip to about 20 seconds in for the knife).

As others have mentioned, it might be a SOG Pentagon.

Here is mine:

Here is mine:

I'm pretty sure it's the "new" SOG Pentagon, with the straight (boring) grinds, lacking the nice taper of your older version.

I always liked this knife. I wish SOG hadn't cheaped out since the good old days.

The old pentagon was gem of a knife with great kydex sheath. New version looks cheap with cheap sheath.

You mean the new one is in the movie.

I have no clue, as to which gen is in the flick.

The Pentagon I own is old and looks better than the new ones, I agree.

Further more, it doesnt have SOG logo plastered on the handle like some SOG knives.

No doubt the kydex sheaths are practical.

Often ugly as sin though and tacky looking, I agree.

Mine has a good quality heavy duty leather sheath with boot clip.

I watched it last night, but didn't take any screenshots because I was too preoccupied with the movie sucking.

I think it was decent, it could have been way better though. Sort of a "cool premise turned meh"
