Knife Design Software

Does anyone know of a software program that can be used to design knives. I am pretty much computer illiterate so the simpler the better.

I use AutoCAD, U can prob use 3d home architech to do the samething. BobCAD is pretty simple to use and also QuickCAD. I found the curves and getting them just right was the most difficult to obtain on CAD. Pratice, and if U kow someone near U that does CAD then go pick there brain. All the programs have little tricks the books dont share.

I don't use it, but some people use Adobe Photoshop for working out designs. In fact, there's a tutorial about designing knives on Photoshop around on the CKD.

If I recall correctly, the tutorial used to be here too but I can't find it. Might've gotten wiped out. The only Photoshop tutorials I can find here or on CKD are on photography, not design.

AutoDesk Inventor is a great piece of software, but it takes a little while to get good at using it. Once you do, though, its quite a powerful design tool. You can create just about anything, fully dimensioned and in 3d.
