"knife designer" -- which membership to sell here?

Spark,

I'm starting to do some design work, a la Joel Pirela. Reese is making up a limited run of a knife I designed and I'd like to take orders here.

If I get a Knifemaker's membership, the title isn't exactly accurate, but will that allow me to advertise and officially take orders?

I'm not really a dealer, right?

Thanks,

What's your word, Spark? Will a knifemaker membership be ok to do this?

Thanks.

Spark is pretty busy right now.... As I understand it you're going to be selling knives that you designed but they will be made by the Reese factory. Are you going to be offering them for sale in the quantities that knifemakers offer knives for sale here, or will this be a limited run in the hundreds and you'll be selling as many knives as a dealer?

Oh dear... no, sorry... let me clarify.

Reese Weiland is making them as full customs and will be limited to runs of 10 - 20 pieces. I only have one project in the works right now, but I'd hope to have some more with has time and funds permit.

In the future, they'd all be limited custom runs, possibly with different makers. I'll be doing the design work and marketing. Pretty much like Joel Pirela, but much more small-time. ;)

Thanks!

Okay, that sounds definitely closer to the Knifemaker membership category -- let's go with that. :)

Cougar,

Thank you very much! :)

I'll go sign up with a knifemaker membership asap and hope that works out. If you see something I post, don't hesitate to let me know if you like it or not.

Take care.
