Knife detent specific lube?

I noticed that sometimes when I apply lube to the detent, the knife starts squeaking and feels like its metal scraping against metal and the action becomes very rough and slow. I use nano oil. The worst occurrences were on a Zt0462, emerson sheepdog, where right after apply the nano oil to the detent, the action became super rough and loud squeaking and sounds like rough metal scraping metal. I had to take it apart each time t resolve the problem.

Sometimes when I apply the nano oil to detents, it smooths the knife up but other times it ends up like what happened described above. Sometime it doesn't end up as bad as that but it feels like the action became less smooth and slower right after applying the oil on the detent.

I remember last year when I went to taiwan, the knife shop there had lube specifically designed for the detent. I cant seem to find it anywhere online though.

Has anyone else had this problem and know what to prevent that or anyone know where to get detent lube?

ALG Defense is a company that makes the Go-juice oil that many of us use around here. They also make what they call 0000 very thin grease. the four 0 i believe is supposed to be like 4 aught steel wool which is baby hair fine. It is a synthetic grease, but pretty thin. not pourable but close. Made for use in firearms, actually. Slicker than snot on a doorknob!

I second the Go-Juice nothing is more slippery then that oil or the grease they make.

Wade, per your suggestion in the other thread on Nano Oil, I picked up a bottle of Go-Juice oil a couple of days ago. That stuff is slippery as hell and less expensive than Nano. Thanks for the heads up!

Nano oil is just snake oil imho,I would pick up a needle oiler bottle as well off of ebay, you only need a tiny drop on each washer.
