I am looking for a way to store/display my knives and was wondering what are some good options out there. I prefer the cabinets over just the cases that are hung on the wall because I believe they look better and they seem to hold more without taking up as much space, but tell me what you guys recommend.

Thanks,
Anthony

Hi Anthony,

I just saw one on Craigslist.

I also saw a coffee table once that had a glass top/lid that was lockable. That was the coolest conversation piece when having people over.

Depends on the company you keep. I usually just keep mine locked up out of sight.

Good luck!

I recommend not having your valuables out where people can see them. :(

I found the compromise between convenience, security, affordability, and flexibility to be Craftsman toolboxes. Sure someone could get into it using tools if they had enough time, but some punk isn't going to simply walk away with it. And it deters curious house guests and household youngsters.

This would mainly be to just sit in my room for me to look at, for it to hold my knives, and for me to show a few trustworthy individuals when they come over. I'm looking for it to look good, hold a good amount of knives, not take up to much room and be fairly easy to get what I want out of it.

You should be a fan of Stallone ,and so am I.

A katana is supposed to be emplaced with the blade on the upper side and the spine down below.

The small rabbt hanged below it just made me smile :)

For displaying I use corks, and a glass shelf.

for storage I use a simple tool boxes with a locking option so kids will not get to them

Im no pro, but... that polar bear picture is amazing, the little critter hanging from the sword is amazing, and thats a LOT of swiss army knives.

Here is one I did. I only keep a few knives in here, drawer underneath is for the shealths for the knives in the case. Walnut and Bird's Eye Maple.

mwschilling, is there anywhere I can buy something like that? That's exactly what I'm looking for but can't find any like that and I am afraid that even if I do it will be out of my price range.

Amazon, $50, genuine leather. Holds 6 folders. I since switched to the William Henry knife display case, which can be seen on WH or Knifeart, and holds 12 folders.

Well, I was unable to find what I was looking for either, so I made it myself. There are guys out there who will make stuff to your design specs. With less expensive wood I would think price wouldn't be too steap, although I have no authority on that as I've never sold anything. I do it for stress relief. My wife calls it "playing with my wood".

Here you go.

Available at Home Depot.

Of course, these are more for storage than for display. But they're cheap, they're stackable, they're durable, and they work great! :)

PS: I absolutely LOVE the Plano organizers. For a total investment of less than $30.00, I can safely store up to 24 folders in a drawer that's 16" deep by 13.5" wide by 3.75" high and have room left over for sheaths, pouches, cleaning cloths and the like.
