Knife donations to US troops.

I've been inspired by the various offers from dealers and makers on these forums to provide knives, free of charge, to our troops in Iraq.

I'm thinking it is the least I can do. I'm sure many of us cannot afford to buy a new knife for donation. So how about donating an unused fixed blade of appropriate style to the guys over there putting everything on the line?

I have a NIB Fallkniven A1 w/kydex sheath I would like to donate.

Would anyone else like to match me with an offer?

At the very least, can someone tell me what would be the best channels for me delivering this knife overseas?

Thanks.

I appreciate the links Roadrunner, but I don't think those will help. Those are for care-package type of deliveries. Like essentials and sundries and stuff. Thanks anyways.

Does anyone know where I can send this knife so that a US troop can get it and use it? I know that the military is careful about what "weapons" are delivered to the troops. How are other programs, such as Rob Simonich's, accounting for this?

I wouldn't know the first place to look.

Wander over to the Himilayan imports forum and look for Sarge or silverfalcon, send'em email.

One thing is they are restricted on what they can carry, so you might want to check with them first.
