Knife Dreams?

Anyone have knife related dreams? I've had 2:

1) A couple months ago I dreamed that I hadn't been putting my Gerber in its sheath for carry and just dropped it in my pocket and I took it out and one of the scales came loose and i saw that the grip was held on by epoxy (I have since taken it apart, it's not held on by epoxy).

2) Last night I had a dream that I had found a Case knife and it had wooden scales with a deeply scrathed, sharpened-to-the-point-of-misproportioned blade. I was overjoyed in the dream.

Now I don't mean daydreams like Chris Reeves decides to give you every knife he makes for free, or that you find out you're Karl Elsner's distant relative and in a legal twist inherit the Victorinox brand. I'm talking about deep sleep rapid-eye movement stuff.

Oh and this wasn't worth a new thread so I'll post it here: I saw the movie "Eye See You" last night with Sly Stallone and it had a nice amount of knife content...he flips open a folder and slits his wrists and then theres a ton of fixed blades throughout it.
 
2 nights ago, I dreamt about me killing some zombies with a really small balisong. Perhaps only 1" blade.

I seldom dream about knives, but often about killing spree....

Damn, I'm weird !!
 
I used to have a *lot* of dreams about having a problem that I couldn't solve due to my firearm malfunctioning or not being effective. Either I couldn't get the gun into action or my hits had no effect. The bad guy or thing was always very primal - big mean dog or someone I could barely see, in the dark, who I knew wanted to hurt me.

Dreams went away, period, after I went to Thunder Ranch. I think the reason is simple - I didn't have confidence in my ability to handle the weapon, a malfunction, etc. After a trip to the Ranch, I *never* had the dream again. I know what I, and my gun, are capable of. I've taken three classes since and sleep like a baby :)

So, if knives are "your thing", go get some pro training. If you've already done that...?????????????????

A while ago I dreamt that I broke the tip off my Rinaldi Enigma! It was a terrible nightmare! :eek:
 
Man..i've dreamt about killing zombies so many times...i'm a zombie freak...and i'm sure one of those times have been with a samurai sword....

Lately however i've been having nightmares not being able to sharpen my Fallkniven S1....well....i wake up and it's true...i can't sharpen the bloody thing...i think i'm just gonna put a V edge on the bloody thing...that convex is so difficult to sharpen....

Talk to Pendentive about a convex edge.
He does it all the time.

I have had a few dreams about fighting or getting cut with knives. I alway wake up with lots of tender marks where the wrinkles of my sheets have pressed into my skin over the course of my sleeping hours. They are always disconcerting....:confused:
 
Pff...SC...you think getting sheets pressed into you is bad? What about those dreams where youre sleeping funny and theres a sharp pain in the dream after you get kicked/punched/grabbed/otherwise injured right in the jewels...*shudders*...I'd rather get sheetstabbed any day :(
 
I had the single weirdest knife dream ever yesterday.

Setting is in a huge airport with gleaming white floors and moving walk-ways. I'm chasing some dude who has a knife, and I first pull a neck knife (with G-10 scales) from a kydex sheath with my *right* hand, then transfer it to my left. Then I hesitate a bit, thinking about whether to go for my belt knife (which was, by the way, horizontal carry in a kydex sheath, off the left hip) or my pocketknife. I decide on the pocketknife, and pull it out, flicking it open; this was a BM Griptilian (which is really weird because I sold mine a long time ago), I remember, because I opened it with fingers on either side of the knife and I recall the texture and feel of the handle.

Then, with a knife in either hand, I catch the guy. Oddly enough, I kick him in the chest, and I recall a surprised look on his face. Then another guy behind me to my left comes after me with a monster knife and I surprise myself this time by cutting the guys wrist and then doing something to bring him to the ground. Then I look down, and see a huge CUDA Maxx with blue ano'd handle.

Then I run off into a different dream which none of you need to know about. ;) :p

What was so weird about the dream was the depth of detail, and how much I remembered after waking up.

Needless to say, I think I spend way too much time here.
 
I seldom, if ever, dream about my beauties. However, other people tell me of dreams they've had about me and knives. One weird dream involved a couselor friend of mine. She counsels problem children. Anyway, she told me that she dreamt that she was counseling a little girl one day. In the dream, I walk in holding two knives in each hand (two Vaquero Grandes from what she described). She introduced me to the little girl, and the girl wanted to hug me for some reason. In the dream, I carefully wrapped my arms around the girl, but never let go of the knives. From what the counselor said, I kept them in my fists. After the girl got her hug, she sat in a chair, I never released the knives. There, the woman's dream ended. Any of you dream theorists see some meaning in this or was the lady mis her medication that day? :confused:
 
I get too many to count. :D

In fact, last night I had to blast a vagrant in the eyes with my E2e, then pulled my AFCK when he kept advancing with a small black object in his hands. Dreamlife is so exciting...

My EDC tools are such an instinctual part of me that they show up exactly the same in my dreams. Strider MFS, AFCK, Powerlock, E2e, they've all shown up before, and I know exactly where to reach for them. I've recently added a ziptie-waved Spyderhawk to the mix, and I can't wait for it to pop up in a dream. :eek:

Sure dude, we know about those blue pills... :)
 
I've often had dreams where I was using a gun against a monster/bad guy and the bullets would move in slow motion or otherwise have no effect.

But when I use a knife in my dreams against a monster/bad guy I'm always successful in stopping it.

Therefore, knives - good for stopping monsters in dreams... guns - bad.
 
Recently I had a couple.
First was about two weeks ago. I've lost my "Endura" and was looking for replacement.
And the second one was this night (coincedence?). I've been writing some composition at school. Result was a pack of documents (handwritten, typed, printed, photocopied). And the first page had a stamped picture of some awfuly scarry frog-sticker. Sign said that it was Kershaw, and had some quote (" something like "the good knife is the only real thing").

I had a dream I pushed my old Strider SLCC through someone's neck....that was trying to kill me. F*CKED up!
 
I used to have dreams about getting into a knife fight, and whenever I tried to make a strike, I would move in slow motion, always missing my target. Then, even when I finally hit the attacker, my knife would be dull and just slide off of them.

There was another dream where I was strapped to a table and surrounded by a bunch of scary, hungry looking individuals. They proceeded to use their knives to cut away bits and pieces of me while I lay screaming on the table. Needless to say that ended up being one of those sleepless nights..

Nah, they have become realitites a long time ago.

The younger crowd won't remember the above from a song.

storm clouds: The only real monsters I've seen are kids under 22. I think some here have been at their playstations way too long.

Have had two knife dreams, both extremely weird! First one I was in the back of a trailer, the kind you pull with the car. Inside was a portable fridge, and it was an informercial. Charles Colewell was there(cricket announcer for sky sports. We talked about how the fridge was great and all. Inside the fridge was an ERNEST EMERSON SUPER 6 only was the hole from the Hk collabration. The weird thing was me and Colewell were speaking norwegian. Im from so cal and live in norway, first and only dream ever in norwegian.

Second one I was surround by a bunch of empty huge building. In the middle of the side walk sitting at a desk, I turn to a lady and say"Did I DIE when I fell of the building?" She says "yes" Than I fade out sort of and it come back that I got this balisong(the one someone show in the prettiest knife threa, with blue holes) and I get a real close up of the handles. Than I start walking down a street, walking int he divider with some guy. The road divider is basically swamp land. Th guy has two lil real mean foxes as pets.
