Elation and Joy!

About 2 years ago, I forgot that I placed my mint condition MOD Michael Janich in a travel shaving kit before a trip. About 6 months later, I realized that the knife was missing. I searched everywhere to no avail.

About 1.5 years ago, I placed my mint M2 Stryker in a box, and for no good reason, I placed that box under our bed amongst a field of useless stuff. Over time, it got slowly moved under and deeper into the mess under the bed.

For the last year and half, I have been searching for those knives. I have been frustrated beyond belief, especially since M2 is so hard to find anymore. I figured that one of the kids got a hold of it somehow and threw it in the garbage – never to be seen again.

Well, 2 months ago, I happened to get out my shaving kit and for no reason, I looked in the small zippered pocket that I never use, and there it was. Elation!

Last night, my wife comes down the stairs with a grin on her face and a beautiful M2 Stryker in her hand. She just happened to pull some useless junk out from under the bed and noticed a small box. In it was the Stryker. Joy!

I know there are lots of lost and found stories, but I thought I would share the good news. Anyone have other good stories?

Not good stories, just stories. I searched and searched for my BM 800 with ATS-34 a couple of years ago and found it about two weeks later open on the deck of my boat. The ensuing pits added character to it. A few weeks later, I jumped in my truck to tow my boat to the boat ramp, and quickly noticed that something was missing out of my pocket by the time I reached the first stop sign. I quickly swung my truck around and found it in the road about ten yards passed my house, about where I complete my turn out of my driveway, Balisong Butterfly emblams now missing. That was just more character. About a year later while I was working in a manhole that had water steady pouring in, I noticed it was missing from my hip. I dug around in that water for the next twenty minutes(rainwater). We were on a trouble call so I had to abandon it. I went back about two weeks later when I had some spare time and pumped the hole down, and sure enough there it was in prestine condition right there in the sump hole. Not a spot on it. Man I miss that knife.
