The Wife and I had a great time riding our GoldWing down to Rogers, Ar. for the A.G. Russell "Knife Event" show!
So many beautiful knives, so little money :crushed:.
I must say, although I have appreciated the 0801 since first seeing it on this board many months ago, it was not high on my must have list, that is untill seeing it in person, for real, there in front of me in the display case.
I was "had" even before handling it, BUT, when I flipped that blade out, my wallet soon followed!
I cannot get over how the blade deployment feels like the smoothest "assisted" knife I have ever handled!
If I knew nothing of the 0801, and were seeing, and handling it for the first time, I would think it were assisted, that is, untill closing the blade, and not having to compress a spring to do so. Yes, I am not a big assisted fan.
I do not like the BLACK clip! Or so much the black hardware, I will be addressing that soon. I already stressed the clip with the wire wheel on my grinder, and like it better, but I not done with that either.
Here are a few pic's. Thanks for looking, Dan.
