The Wife and I had a great time riding our GoldWing down to Rogers, Ar. for the A.G. Russell "Knife Event" show!
So many beautiful knives, so little money :crushed:.
I must say, although I have appreciated the 0801 since first seeing it on this board many months ago, it was not high on my must have list, that is untill seeing it in person, for real, there in front of me in the display case.
I was "had" even before handling it, BUT, when I flipped that blade out, my wallet soon followed!
I cannot get over how the blade deployment feels like the smoothest "assisted" knife I have ever handled!
If I knew nothing of the 0801, and were seeing, and handling it for the first time, I would think it were assisted, that is, untill closing the blade, and not having to compress a spring to do so. Yes, I am not a big assisted fan.
I do not like the BLACK clip! Or so much the black hardware, I will be addressing that soon. I already stressed the clip with the wire wheel on my grinder, and like it better, but I not done with that either.
Here are a few pic's. Thanks for looking, Dan.

Welcome to the 801 club! I really love mine. And ive really come to appreciate the two tone look of the black harware.

Congrats.

Totally agree with you in that it's the best flipper action plus I too don't like the black pivot, screws and clip. They should all match the tone and color of the titanium scales.

Nice! I need to pick up one of these. I want to sand blast mine to bring out that deep titanium grey.

Awesome knife man I think I'm gonna have to pick one up. How did you remove the ZT logo on the blade?

Ha! I did not notice it, untill you said something. I did not remove the logo, it's just washed out by the glare in the photo.:)
