Knife for a Fire Chief

Hey guys Im looking for a good idea for a knife for my best friend who is a fire chief, he likes knives but has no real knowledge of them...he carries around a chitty gerber auto(yes we both are aware of the legalities of auto's in
Texas) that he got in Iraq and barely opens half the time, keep in mind his job is admin but he is the chief of a 75 man deparment and carries and uses his knife everyday. Budget would be around 100 bucks could maybe go a bit higher for the right one, let me know what you think guys all comments appreciated.

Spyderco para or manix2 are fantastic knives... the P2 will carry easier. Really like the Stretch also.. a more ergo Delica/Endura blend.
Benchmade Griptilian series (spring for the s30v Ritter version).. the 701 is a classic but I prefer the HK 14200 series more.
After trying all the brands, these are what I prefer for a one hand open/close edc.
 
That is awesome, the red however looks a little pinkish It may just be me, also I may engrave this knife if that makes a difference
