My girlfriend and her two kids live with me. Her son who is 16 and will be 17 soon has picked up on several of my hobbies. Camping hunting fishing ect. Naturally knives. He has a couple of cheap folders. He is really digging spyderco knives right now. My girlfriend has given me permission to buy him a good folder for his up coming birthday. She said nothing "big" and no fixed blades. She said he can barrow mine when we go hunting. I want to get him a good knife for when we do out door activities. I'm looking for suggestions for a pocket knife for him. I'm thinking that a Delica 4 will fit the bill. What do you think.

The Delica 4 is a quintessential Spyderco design and a fantastic knife--one of my all-time faves! Another thought would be something from the Tenacious family... but the Delica is better by far, imo ;)

Good luck! :)

A Delica 4 would be an excellent general use outdoors knife especially with the FFG blade grind also they come in several nifty colors.

Ohhhh.... When I first read the title of the thread I thought this should have been in the "trade" section.
