While going through my emails there was one that i didn't recognize with he subject as "Yo! I did it!", normally id delete it without thought, but I'm glad i didn't. It was from one of my best of friends, he just got out of boot camp!
.
Both of us being blade nuts, I'd like to send him something special for the occasion. Something small, say no more that 2 1/2"BL.

I'm currently looking at either a Leather man & get it modded or get custom folder.

Any suggestions are helpful.

A rainbow leek. Haha just kidding. Really though a Leatherman is not a bad choice. I know I have gotten more use out of my Leatherman in the army than I have any of my other knives.

I would suggest some Victorinox model, probably one of the alox ones (because metal scales are just cool). There's a couple reasons why I would recommend Swiss Army knives though. First off, they're down right useful. Since you can get a SAK in almost any configuration, you can find one that would be useful for what he does on a daily basis. Also, the alox models have a little place for engraving so you can get his graduation date engraved. The lifetime warranty is a great bonus too. And finally, I've never heard of issues with Victorinox steels rusting but my Leatherman Blast has rust spots all over it (granted I've had it for a couple years). I think a SAK might last a bit longer than a Leatherman though.
