Hey guys. So growing up my friend and i always knew that we wanted to join the military. Im going into army intel and it has always been his dream to be a SEAL. We had always planned on doing ROTC and then serving as officers but he is currently thinking about dropping out and persueing his dream of being a seal as an enlisted person. He isnt a "knife guy" but he appreciates a good blade. I know that the right tool could save his life and so i want to get him the right tools for the job if he decides to enlist this summer. I want to get him a fixed blade and a folder of some type and i am looking for recommendations. Any ideas are welcome but please keep it realistic. Im a college kid and cant spend a fortune so combined were looking at 300-350. If you wanted to throw in some kind of other tool/blade i.e. a tomahawk, multi tool, etc. that would be cool too as long as it doesnt break the bank. Thanks again guys

Spyderco Salt series should be a consideration due to its corrosion resistance. They are available in folding and fixed and should fit in your budget constraints.
