By seasons, I mean Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring.

What would you consider to be a Knife for All Seasons. That means regardless of the prevailing season, that particular model of a knife will come in handy.

When confronted by such a question, what shape of a knife pops automatically into your head?

If you vary activities by season you may change knives acordingly, say hunting season, kayaking season, fishing season, whatever ...

I feel just fine with my combination SAK/stockman EDC all year long.

I think for all seasons you're going to want a fixed bladed knife especially if you live in a colder environment. Don't get me wrong i love my small Sebenza and i don't leave home with out it but in the winter when your hands are cold or if your wearing cloves you're not going to want to dig around in your pocket.

My picks would be my,

My Shane Sibert Darius for belt carry or
one of my Mini Aikuchi by R.W. Clark for neck carry

Robert

Spydie FRN Endura SE... Been using it everyday for just under a year so far... always clipped to my left/front pocket.

My Dave Beck on my belt and my Gene Ingram around my neck. The Beck will chop, hack, pry, and do all the things I need a big knife to do and the small Ingram can do all the little things, open MRE's, cut up food, whittle fuzz sticks, whatever. They're a nice combo.

J.M. Place Handmade Knives...

Al Mar SERE 2000...It's tough-enough to survive a harsh Winter, and sexy-enough to lay out by the lake in a bikini on a warm Summer day.:).

I use the same knives all year around. Why use one knife in summer and another in winter?
I always use a scandi with about 4 inch blade and my trusty old saami knife with 8 inch blade regardless of season.

Just three of the many I own......

1.) Al Mar ultra lite eagle
2.) Camillus Dominator (non-assited)
3.) Buck 307 4 1/4" Stockman

All the rest are "collectors" or "about to be sold"

:D :D
