Looking for a knife for my brother. Decided to go with a Becker for the quality and price. I would like between 3.75 and 4" blade. Fixed. Drop point. Thanks for any input.

Thanks guys. Any issues with any of these? Are there a plethora of aftermarket parts? And how are the sheaths?

Going with a smaller blade insures that he'll carry it more vs a larger knife that can't be pocketed while you're out and about in town or whatever. Personally I'd recommend a 24, however the 14 and 11 are equally as awesome of a choice.

......unless, you're looking to get him a knife that will be a trusty sidekick while on the farm or in the wilderness, in which case a tweener would be an excellent choice, any of them, heck, all of them.

I would gear my purchase towards what type of person he is and what kind of activities he likes to persue.

YT tube, BF, and BKT forums has a crap-ton of reviews on all those blades. Sorry, I meant to say "a sh/t-ton"

Yup aftermarket parts/scales.
Yup there is a problem with the sheaths for the 11, 14/24

BK24, some zytel handles and a 710 sheath.

Nice sized, near stainless, and many options for handles.

I'd go with the 24 + either custom wood scales or zytel, depending on budget, and a kydex sheath from 710.

Pretty much what Moose said. :D

hard to argue with the value point on the BK24 as well as ease of carry -- but the BK16 is more comfortable if he's going to be using it a lot.

The 24 or 14 with the zytel scales is going to be your best bet. Although the 16 is more of a full size knife the 14/24 is just too dang handy.... It has big blade performance, and it is very comfortable in hand, and on body. I have the 14, but have been contemplating the 24 (along with a lot of other Beckers.... sigh) because of the upgrade in steel. A short stout little stainless knife would just be amazing. A guy can dream...

Buy the 16 and the 11 or 14. Give him the one you think will fit his needs better, and keep the other one to enjoy. It sounds expensive, but I think you'll find it to be a good investment for the both of you.

I've given him a bench made griptilian, victorinox swisschamp, leather man supertool 300, tenacious, victorinox super tinker and a few others I can't think of. I recommended he buy a Schrade sharp finger to get into the fixed blade world and see how a small fixed blade is useful. I think it's time he had a larger blade. I think I may go for the 16, I can always buy him aftermarket stuff for his birthday or something.
