This knife is the first piece of a 10 piece series , which we prepared for DIC together with my friend Lubomir Madaric. The first piece was prepared for the occasion of the president of Czech Republic, Vaclav Klaus’s 70th birthday.
Steel- ATS-34 , guard - stainless steel , Handle - mamuth tusk .
Decoration – the other side scrimshaw /Sv.Vaclav/ and /the Czech presidential palace/ . Guard -24 KA gold monogram and the Czech national coats. The guard is placed with 2 diamond pieces /1ct

Very cool knife. The scrimshaw alone makes it interesting. Reminds me how much I miss visiting Prague, which is one of my favorite cities.

Very nice knife, I liked Prague a lot.Things have changed much since my voyages during the communist regime.Slovakia has become a better place for the industries since their separation from the richer North..
 
Stefan, I re-read my post and thought it may have come out wrong. This is a beautiful knife, and as Kevin pointed out "Very fitting for a President" My wife is Czech and many of her friends are Slovakian. There are many great craftsmen and women in your part of the world!

May I ask the meaning of the #'s 001 000?
