Knife for friend

He wants something with a partial serrated edge and consequently wants something with a 3.5-4 inch blade. My imediate suggestion was a Spyderco Military with a CE blade. After hearing the price he shyed off and asked if there was anything else in that size. I suggested a CE Endura, showed him a price, and he liked the looks. My question is: Have I overlooked any obvious knives that might spur interest in him.

NOTE: He is a newly converted knife nut and has very little knowledge in regards to steels, handles, ergo's, and price v. performance.

I think that Kershaw has several knives that would fit the bill. The CE Cyclone comes to mind. The Storm is one of the best deals out there (I think the Storm II has the 3.5 inch blade). I am not a fan of serrations except for the rounded ones that Kershaw uses. The Camillus Heat is also a great knife that is getting a little harder to find.

Oh, and I love the Endura BTW.
