In a few weeks my step son will be starting his 1st tour in Iraq. I wanted to get him something from myself to take. I looked at 100's of knives, but one day I was going though my collection and ran across this Entrek Scout. I had forgotten about it. So here it is I had it engraved and his last four put on it. Its light weight and sharp. Hope he never needs it. :)

Kudos to you; knife looks fine. Few years ago I unearthed a Gerber Mark II and sent to a Marine starting his second tour. He is now out and safe; doubt the Gerber had much to do with it but the thought was there.

Nice knife, nice gesture. First class. Hope he never needs it on anything other than rope and sundries, and he comes home safe and passes it down to his kid one day.

Do you have a close-up of the challenge coin on the left with the crusader and st. george's cross? I can barely read it, is it Eph. 6? I like it.

Very nice knife. Stupid question, is his name actually Molon Labe by some odd chance or is that the old greek phrase from Thermopylae? Good luck.

Pretty bad ass thing to have engraved on a blade, in my opinion.

What's the significance of the numbers, if you don't mind me asking? And where did you get the engraving done? The whole package looks great.

I have a feeling your step son will take a lot of comfort in having that knife on him while he's deployed. Best of luck.

I know this will be a tense and distressing time. May God be with you and your family, and most of all protect your son.

I hope he brings the knife back to you and tells you he only used it to open MREs.

God bless your stepson and your family. He is a hero to set aside his life, family, friends, hobbies, and interests to go over there putting himself in harm's way so that the rest of us can stay here at home in relative comfort and safety. I know the significance of his service. Such generous people are true heros. May he return home safely. Fortunately, Iraq is a much less dangerous place than Afghanistan is these days.

My stepson, unfortunately, is now among the fallen heros. We lost him to an IED last December 5th in Afghanistan. We're in touch with his fellow brothers in arms over there on a daily basis through the internet and supporting them and their mission. We support your stepson and his courageous, heroic choice. Without fine young men and women like him, and our son, the rest of us would not be able to stay home enjoying this wonderful freedom to live our lives as we see fit.

God bless your stepson and keep him safe. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

P.S. Send a good knife and a good flashlight with him... he will certainly appreciate that.

A wonderful gift.

May God Bless you!!

And your Step Son.

May he return home safely.

May all his comrades in arms return home safely as well.

Very few people acknowledge the debt and show the respect that they should to our men at arms.
