Knife for magic trick

I'm looking to fabricate a knife for a magic trick called "The Color Changing Knives." My knowledge base is primarily tactical stuff, and I just don't know enough about slipjoints, which is what the trick calls for.

Basically, I need two knives of equal size and shape (about three inches overall and slightly oval-shaped) but completely different stylistically (think one side hot pink marbleized plastic scales running the entire length of the knife, for example, and the other side jigged bone with nickel silver bolsters). I'm going to break one of each down the middle and glue the two halves together so that I have one knife with different scales, bolsters, et cetera on each side.

I need the knives and a knifemaker who might be interested in helping me fabricate the knife and maybe making a few more for magician friends of mine. If you're interested, please drop me a line at akarelis at g m a i l dot com.

You can just do this by swapping the scale material without breaking-up the knives. They're just glued on although some will also have pins to pop.

If you want to try this out on some cheap knives, go online and shop for Rough Rider brand of folders. They are very inexpensive and offer a huge range of styles and sizes.

I was gonna say (not knowing they make magician's knives) that Case should have everything you need.
