Knife for my Instructor

Hey guys, quick question: I have a teacher I would like to buy a knife for, simply because he's a badass instructor and I really respect him. He's been a Paramedic about 20 years, and a Fire-fighter for most of that. He's also a certified dive instructor (which he apparently likes to do on vacation). Any suggestions? I don't really want to spend more than $100-$120.

They make those really fancy medical grade scissors at aeromedix (Where ever they used to sell Ritter Knives) I always thought they would make an awesome gift for a paramedic. You could buy a Ritter Grip to go along with it. Roughly about what you want to spend. Maybe a sheath too. Still under $200.

What kind of instruction do you receive from him? Are you talking MA knife, paramedic tool, firefighting/rescue or dive knife?

I took an EMT course from him, along with a mass casualty class. I've got a few other people willing to throw down some cash for a knife for him. I'm also gonna take a paramedic class from him.

Get him the spyderco saver salt, rescue style blade and works for diving as well. Or the spyderco assist, both under $100.

I'd suggest a Spyderco Salt H-1. It'd be the most versatile IMO and can pose double duty if he goes diving.
