I was just slinking around eBay when I saw this beauty. It's gorgeous, but I'm a bit short on cash. Can anyone spot me?

Anyone?

The blade is Damascus. I wonder if there's an Egyptian curse on it....

Perhaps I'll buy myself an early Christmas present. Now I'm wondering,
the knife or the Rush Limbaugh letter. Decisions, decisions. Hmmmm.

Holy crap. I have never seen a knife with mammouth ivory. What are the chances that it's not really mammouth ivory?
Sorry if that is an insult to anyone it's not ment to be, I have just never seen that before.

Mammoth ivory is commonly used for handles of high-end custom knives. It's not terribly expensive; there's a tremendous amount of it around. There were a lot of mammoths....

Mammoth ivory has seen a recent increase in price due to the fact the the Chinese are buying up all that they can get. The price is bound to continue its upward trend.

If you like that one you may want to add this one to your collection. The same seller also has this sword up for a Buy It Now Price of only $20,000.00.

Could be really valuable if they're declared endangered!!:D

And no one will be blamed for illegally hunting them.

These blades are from Zlatoust for sure. It is real Mammoth ivory. There are a lot of it! The saber is made by Praktica workshop from Zlatoust - famous and well know guys, knife - I don't know. Knife's blade is made of stainless Damascus, if I'm not mistaking. Also they call it Bulat or Wootz. I think it is a little overpriced :)

We are selling some decorated blades from Zlatoust in USA - http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=501490

and I think it is priced a little better :)

Anyway - it is my personal opinion
