Sorry guys that should have been GIVEN away.
It went to my accross the ally neibour that happens to be a machinest and a hunter. He has done inumerable things for me and would not take a cent for his time and effort.
We spent 5 hours cutting a 1.5 inch thick, 24 inch long bar of Vanadis 4 into slabs on a hydraulic feed band saw then surface ground them to 1/8 for blade steel experiments. Afterwords HE bought the beer and still continues to make things for me. I'm taking him Elk hunting this fall and we hope to give the knife a good workout.
For those who care 440C blade about 4.5 inches with Elk horn scales.

Pretty nice Robert!!! Tomorrow I'll be buffing the spear point blade I am making and epoxying on the canvas micarta slabs. I don't think my finishing abilities are quite up to yours yet, but maybe after a few more blades I'll be even better! Then I'll be able to teach you something in return for the help you have given me

Thats the great thing about helping people. You may get a lot of help from someone and wish to pay them back somehow but you probably helped a bunch of people without getting anything in return from them! If you get help, do someone else the favor and help out wherever you can. That's my motto at 2 in the morning!
