Last week I was killing some time with the wife in her favorite junk store when I found this little Imperial Serpentine. I'm a sucker for a serpentine so I rescued it and brought it home and stuck it in the case. Being a bit of a minimalist, I really don't have any knives that just sit there so I thought I'd give it away. Find it a proper home. It's not pretty and probably not worth much but if you'd like to have it here's your chance.

Just post a picture or type your favorite slip joint that you have ever owned.

I love seeing pictures of knives and this one should provide some really good examples. I'll use random.org in about a week.

Sorry no pic..My favorite slippie I own is the Tribal Spear collab.
My favorite " If I could have anything" knife would be a Menefee Lanny's Clip.
Thanks for the chance.

A very difficult question for me to answer; I have so many that I really like. The best answer today is the wharncliffe mini copperhead. It has truly endeared itself to me since I bought it and I have carried it almost every day for the last 3 months. Sometimes with other knives, but I almost always have it with me.

I don't have a lot of slip-joint knives but the one I most liked was my Wanger Evowood 11.
I don't know... I just liked the vintage kind of feeling. sadly I gave it to a friend of mine so heres a picture from google.

Wow! No Kidding? My first win ! :D Thanks! Ill put her to good use.

Congrats! I have one of these, and even with the unusual blade grind (mine is a rolled-stamped-semi-chisel-scratch-your-head-wondering-what-it-is kind of grind) it still takes a very nice edge, and keeps it for a while too.

My formula for these cool little thrift/antique store/garage sale finds: gently wipe own the celluloid or plastic foil scales with a napkin & windex; wipe down the blades with a terry cloth with some 3-in-1 on it; oil the joints. She'll serve you for life. I have at least a dozen around here, and I love all of 'em.

Michael,The knife arrived via priority usps today.I sure appreciate the gesture. The old shell handle Imperials bring back a lot of memories from when i was a kid in the 60's.I used to drool over them in the cardboard displays at the City Drug store on main street in Grapevine,Tx. where i grew up.The little knife is a good one too with carbon steel blades that took a clean razor edge, tight walk and talk with half stops, and a good looking fake mom of pearl handle with a serpintine shape that feels good in the hand. This will get some pocket time and thanks again!
