Knife going to Australia
It's 7 1/2" long and the blade is 3" ATS and the handle is Red Gum burl. I need to make the sheath a put my name on it. Then off to Australia.

I, too, think the tiny pins are a neat, and distinct touch! Are they brass or SS? Where do you find such small pin stock? Looks great.

They are Stainless Steel tig welding rod. My boys have a fab welding shop and that is where I get them. And it's a job trying to line up the tiny holes.
In the tang I only have two of these tiny hole to line things up and the rest of the holes in the tang are 1/8" and I drill the holes in the middle of the tang holes through the wood.

Sure is, literally 30 to 40 minutes drive.

Newcastle is known as the gateway to the Hunter Valley. Cessnock is where the vineyards start. Hunter valley is known for it's wine production.
