Knife Grind Examples

Here's a picture i had on my computer.

I've never heard of a taper grind. It looks like a flat ground knife, rounded out for use on thinner knives.
I've also heard of a SABRE grind, which I still can't figure out.

Chisel is like the way alot of japanese knives are, with only one side ground. Also some SE knives, like the Delica.

I'm not sure what sabre ground is either, I kina thought it was another name for convex grinds.

The taper grind looks like a sabre grind. It is a blade with the primary bevel starting about halfway down. Swords (sabres) use this to maximize strength, even though it makes for a more obtuse cutting angle.

Esav is right about the sabre grind. It's basically a flat grind stopping along the center line of the blade.

Here is one I have that may have more in it for you to see.

Tanto, and chisel grinds are not here on this one though. Tanto is more just a tip configuration though. The grind can be flat, sabre/modified V or even convex or hollow so it just depends with who made the tanto tip.
