Knife/Gun hybrids - any opinions?

I've seen a few of these advertised whilst surfing the web. Mainly the grad22 and powell knife pistol. Apparently, hybrid knife/guns have been around for centuries. Whats the general view, practical or novelty?

These have been around for centuries and never very popular.
You're better off having a gun and knife seperate. Spreading peanut butter with a gun is dangerous and likely to dirty the gun. There
will be plenty of other times you will want a seperate utility
knife.
