Hey boys and girls,

I know these Knife help threads are a dime a dozen, but i need some help. So being unemployed, i dont have a ton of money to spend but iv been a good boy lately and i think i can afford a knife in the 100-150 dollar range. As with everything good less is better.

Here are the knives that i have come up with...

ZT 0200
Kershaw Rake
LoneWolf Long horn
Spyderco Super-Leaf when it comes out.

Here are what i want...generally.

Price: up to 150
Blade length: 3.5-4
Steel: 154cm, VG10, S30V, etc...no D2, ZDP 189, etc...I work around ALOT of H20 and chemicals that love to eat mild steels.
Handle: G10, FRN, etc...preferably no wood.
No Tantos, CE, or SE.

I have a bm 710, Grip, Para 2, Tenacious, Blur, among others looking for something new!!!

Thanks a ton guys i need a new knife...im bored haha.

Out of that list I'd go with the 0200. A boat-load of knife for the money. And as for the Rake, the cutting edge is D2. Look up kershawguy in the Production Knives for Sale (Dealer) thread and see what he has. You'll get great service, extremely fast shipping and the best price around.

The 0200 is my favorite folding knife. I don't edc it b/c it's so dang big, but I just love the ergonomics and strength of the knife. It's very, very cool. Not the best slicer, but it's a workhorse.

I would go with the longhorn if you can find one. I love Lone Wolf, but that is not why i am recommending them. With LW being acquired by benchmade, that knife has a greater likelihood of becoming a collectible. Also, you may not be able to get it later, while the others you could.

If this matters, between kershaw, cold steel, benchmade, and LW, I would say lw comes the sharpest.

I would go for the SuperLeaf. Actually, I am waiting for it to come out to buy one myself.

Well you already have knives that cover most anything a knife user might need day to day. So, this is just a "get a knife to make myself happy" purchase. Completely understand, did that this week with a Rake.

The WOW knife on your list is hands down the ZT0200. A brute of a knife without a doubt. I have one and don't carry it much but I think its flat out amazing. Incredible ergonomics. I feel sure it will take away your boredom at least for a while.

The 0200 is probably the hardest use of that list. But of your list I'd go with the SuperLeaf. The 0200 is not a small or light knife. But it's a brute and a top value for a hard use folder. I like them a lot.

However I'll also second the Hogue EX01 in G-Mascus even if you didn't list it :)

I bought a yellow Ritter Grip few years back and it is one of my favorites. ~110 for the small.

Sell a couple of your knives and buy a Sebenza. Than you will be happy and can concentrate on looking for a job instead of looking at new knives all the time. Then when you find one, you can buy more knives.

I'll third the recommendation for a Hogue in G-Mascus. The 3.5" is a perfect size for EDC and the 4" is a brute.

The Green G-Mascus handle is very attractive and the knife is very high quality, at least equal to the best on your list which is the 0200, imo.
