Knife Help

I recently went to open my assisted knife and found it’s opening wouldn’t work properly. I have the Smith & Wesson M&P M.A.G.I.C knife. I’m not sure if this is a unique method of opening but it uses a slide that you pull in order to cause the blade to pop. The slide still moves freely and the blade is still spring loaded so if you manually open it the blade pops. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I'm not familiar with the knife at all. I think the "have you tried turning it off and back on again" answer is to make sure there is no crud in the action, hit the moving bits with compressed air, and drop a couple of drops of oil on the action and see what that does.
