I have found the forums quite interesting and very informative. You people give great answers to specific questions. Heres a new twist. What is your neat knife tip? For example..Have you found some great way to clean the Sharpmaker stones, clean your knife, lubricate it, store it, sharpen it, etc.

And if reading the instructions doesn't work go buy several new knives so you have more instructions to read and sooner or later you may find some that make sense.

No No. I mean tricks that are not in the book. Joe's idea of using Steel Wool to clean your Sharpmaker stones would apply. Come on! I am sure you folks have lots of ideas.

I came across one the other day to use a loupe to examine the blade edge before and after sharpening. Saw and removed the burr really well.

Ok, so you want a trade secret. Here's one that knife makers have known for years and now someone has commercialized it and is making lots of money.

Use Mineral Spirits on your knife blades to clean and prevent corrosion.

Guess what the main ingrediant in Sentry Tuf-Cloth is?

No 'trade' secrets here but I'll play the game on this topic.

For those that like and carry the bm Pinnacle/750 (maybe the Sebie too...I don't know..yet) you can take a US dollar note..choose your favorite denomination, and it can be folded nice and tight and neat and place snugly in place between the handle slabs. If done correctly it will not interfere with blade and will be an instant $$ backup...just in case. To be really covert about this stash you can mask off all but the exposed side of your stash bill before insertion. Hit this with a bit of flat grey spray paint, let dry and then insert. Whenever I would show one of these 'money' knives to another knife person I would tell them it was my best '$20 knife' and smile as the oohed and aaahed on my great '$20' blade not noticing the stash for a moment. Your choice of denomination of course.
