Some of you out there could be doing a knife history for the BCCI website, I could name names, do something like this or totally different for the knife of your eye.......Think about it. Some knives need a history you could be the one..............I could, with help from ...........MWallace who is responsible for fancy Adobe work here but its easier to put it on BCCI..........give it a go..................300Bucks

Dave, on the Knife histories of this thread.I think your as go as any to write about this. For you like the subject, have informed knowledge of the subject and maybe the only one whos willing. Think about it.Good luck,DM

I too have visited the model history section of the site several times. I became interested in trying to do something with the models I collect. So, I emailed the site adm., Jack Foresman about how to submit information so that it could be included. He sent me a form for fixed and one for folding. He would really like for collectors to help with this important aspect of our learning process about the Buck models. You might email him.

I'm not really qualified to do any of the writing, but I have some experience with desktop publishing and could help someone with layout and design.

OK, now were going. way to go Messersmith.......thats the way it was for me, I can do the photos and look up stuff, but needed help with the layout and publishing. Mike volunteered and off we went. Were working on the 321 Bird Knife now, then the 305 Clippers are next, etc. etc. You guys can do this. What ever info you pull together, don't relie on heresay be accurate, will be a great improvement over empty histories, if you find you left something out you can add it later. Some of you photo people if you live near someone with a good example of a series, volunteer to do the photos. I don't think mailing knives will work well, you need to be close enough to drive and meet each other. Mike Wallace and I have it worked out, I do the photos and the writing, he edits and does the fancy computer layout. And thats with me in OK and he in CA. Buddy up with someone....strength in numbers and all that.

334Dave, Hey man, you don'thave to write something for the library of Congress, make a list, take photos of all your knives with descriptions, make a chart......anything is a positive step. Other folks will find your mistakes, ha, and then 'THEY' can help out also. It's easy to be a critic lets see some folks put that soft critic nose to the grind stone.......JUST DO IT.

Honker and Messer-Three thumbs up, oops I only have two........300Bucks
