Bought a large vise from Andrew Holzmayer (Aholz) at Swan Lake knives. Received it in four days and very well packaged. I have used it to hand finish two blades and then finish the handles. The swivel bearing used is the smoothest I've tried. This is a very sturdy well built item. I do believe I can finish a knife quicker using this vise. I would recommend this vise. I am not associated with this company in any way. Just a very good product.

Thanks for sharing, I've been wanting to get one, will soon!

Pics would be nice ;)

I just got my vise from Bryce Vise and i'm blown away too. Honestly so robust, need to build a new workbench for it :)

I just took a look at one on his website. Looks like a very well made and functional vise, though for $300, I think I'd expect something other than eye bolts for tightening knobs...
I can see how they would be nice to have for leverage though - to really crank down if needed using a pipe or something. But yeah some quick release handles or something would be a nice option

I switch all knobs and cap screws on equipment to these. $3 to $5 each.

If someone can not make knife holding vise , it is better to find another hobby ......
300$ for knife holding vise ??

For me personally, I think I would rather spend my time making knives, instead of making vises or any other tool I can buy reasonably enough. That Bryce Vice looks like the cats whiskers.

I never actually owned or used a knife vise, I just used an old be a up clamp on vise side wThat Bryce

I mirror this sentiment, i really need to fabricate a solid work holding rest for hand sanding, something like what Nick Wheeler totes around, and i can't be bothered. I want to focus the VERY limited time i have in the shop, on making knives. I need to build another work bench and don't want to give a day away doing it. Hopefully here soon i can work a situation out where my tools are accessible all week.

I have one made by DD Workrest. They’re pricey, don’t remember cost, but they’re very very nice.

what kind of phone # is that - where ?
That’s a South African phone number, most international numbers look different like that and it’s very easy to tell what country by the first two digits, literally a one minute google search to see where the area code is for.

I googled "Bryce Vise" and didn't come up with anything. Got a picture?
I googled the same thing and first website was for Bryce Vise the ultimate knife makers vise, it appears his website is under construction through but he does have a phone number listed, he is in South Africa.
