I have been hunting down a Combative Edge m1 part serrated for months now, still no dice.

Has this happened to anyone else where they just couldnt get a knife they really wanted?

Yep - many times I went into my local knife store and handled a Benchmade 610 Rukus, only to pass on buying one.

When I finally decide to add one to my collection, they were discontinued, and no internet retailers had any left in stock. You know - the old "day late and a dollar short" thing.

They were snapped up on the Exchange before I had a chance to even see the post.

I stayed diligent and was lucky enough to finally get one from another forum member. Then once I found one - I went on the hunt for the wood scales Benchmade produced for the knife. It took me a long while (even called BM to see if they would make a set for me) - but I finally found an internet retailer that had one set left and they let me have them for 50% off.

Total time spent - several months.

They can't all be easy purchases - where's the fun in that??

I had a chance to buy an original manix for 100 bucks about a year ago. I didn't. Then a few months later another chance at the original manix for 130 bucks. Well I still don't have one now.

I've been wanting a Benchmade 721 with bowie shaped blade, G10 handles, and no serrations. I've checked everywhere and have yet to find one.:(:(:( I'll keep checking, there has to be one somewhere.
