knife hunter was right to lock your thread. As it reads to me, it belongs in the Sheaths & Such forum. Why? Because other than mentioning a SOB, the purpose was to gauge interest in your sheath(s) with this liner. In that thread, you don't mention a giveaway, as it is not approved yet. So, by adhering to one rule, you...well, fractured another. That rule is unwritten, but stands above all else in this forum, and it is simply that this is Jerry's forum for the promotion of
his business. He pays the bills here, so to speak, and this is his house for us to gather and interact with Busse and each other, plus give us access to offerings that don't become available to the general public.

With that in mind, we like giveaways and positive participation among members, and I certainly don't wish to discourage that. So for now, these are the official rules for all giveaways.
1. Who's house? Jerry Busse's house. (The rule above is now written, so to speak.) Please obtain approval in advance from one of the current 4 Busse forum moderators, our names are posted in red at the bottom of all main Busse forum thread pages, and post "Moderator approved" in your opening giveaway (GAW) post when received. You may not start your GAW without approval. If you do, the thread will be locked and/or removed to the Back End...and once that happens, we need to get a Supermod to kindly move it back.
2. Your posted GAW images must prominently feature Busse knives and/or OINKficial Busse merchandise in them.
3. A giveaway is exactly that and nothing more. No mention of any type of sale, pre-sale, "availability", ect., nor may there be any "strings" attached to giveaways. If you feel that you have a consideration for exception here, please contact Jerry Busse only. This includes feedback requested on a particular giveaway item. You may ask the winner off the Busse forum and they most certainly may post their item & opinion on forum without prompting or requesting, but they are within their rights to refuse the request for feedback under these rules. And, before the mere possibility has a chance to become an issue with anyone, unwanted
repeated requests or
any solicitations via Bladeforums will be considered harassing/trolling of said giveaway winner member and subject to infraction. As most of you know & like, Bladeforums is a No-Spam zone.
4.You may make your GAW a contest if you'd like. Please mention your plan in your approval request. Fun...is most certainly allowed.
5. Again, back to Rule One. Even if
knife hunter or myself have approved your GAW, Jerry & Garth always have the final say, and they absolutely may decide to overrule us as they see fit for the Busse forum at any time. Of course, this goes both ways in that they may be willing to approve a GAW that we weren't sure that we should. However, if we aren't sure, we usually default to checking with the Bossman first per The Rule.

I'm fairly certain that we've covered this via PM before, so most or all of the rules above should already sound familiar to you. If you are in agreement to the above rules, then your request is approved and you are free to proceed with your GAW.
