it would look a hell of a lot better if the holes were evenly spaced

Progress, not perfection. Besides, it didnt cost him anything.

Not bad, CM......although I'll admit that after the amount of time you've been at this I want you to be doing a little better, buddy! I understand that you're the type of guy who's going to do you're going to do no matter what anybody says, and I also know you can handle criticism as well as anybody I've ever met, so I'll just say that I'd love to see you doing some more consistent attention to detail, you know?

So the knife didn't cost the guy anything....it wouldn't have taken any more time than it did to do the holes spaced more evenly, and Lorien is right....it would have looked a whole lot better! You've been getting better at your bevels and your finish on the steel, why not spend some time on all the details?

I will say that even if you don't agree with what I've said, I'm just happy to see that you are still making knives to some extent. I think it's a good outlet for you and I appreciate you taking the time to share what you're up to.

Have a good one!

I agree and disagree, i think that you took a lot of time on the finish because it looks great and the design also looks great.

But yes next time measue out were you want the holes. And do some more hand sanding on the blade to even out the edge a little.

I probably have no right to critique your work. But i think it looks great! And i wanted to say that i think you are paying more attention in areas that dont need more attention.

you could also make them random. Right now they look like you tried to get them evenly spaced and aligned but didn't quite make it. If you made it obviously random I think it would look pretty good
