Hey Folks,

One of my partners asked me about a knife and I can’t identify it.

He said his brother got it as a gift after retiring from the Air Force in Spain in 1982.

The only markings are shown in the below picture. The blade is marked:
TOLEDO
INOX
PAT
The sheath has an imprint of a stag

Toledo is a city in Spain, and INOX is short for inoxidable, Spanish for “stainless”.

Not interested in value, just any maker info, etc.

Thanks!

There are a few knife manufacturers in Spain. Aitor, Muela, Miguel Nieto, and Joker come to mind. Most of them have large fixed blades among their offerings.
I don't recognize the specific knife, but you might try perusing those brands on a couple of the larger knife purveyor sites.

Just gonna bump this once for fresh eyes… Look familiar to anyone? If not I’ll start looking through the brands suggested above. 👍

I don't know which model it is, but it's a Muela knife. Here's an old Muela (supposedly from the 1950s) with a sheath bearing that same stag embossing.

I'm revisiting some of my old knife magazines these days. If I run across an ad identifying your friend's knife, I'll let you know.

This is correct, it’s a vintage Muela.

I found it on a Spanish forum. Link:

Ha that’s crazy - I was pretty sure it was an Aitor due to the handle and sertation similarities with the knife in post #4, but it’s an EXACT match for the ones in the post above. Thanks guys!
