Recently aquired a knike that I cannot identify. The Black well made leather sheath has a 4 sided star logo with the points at North, South ,East and West and the Eastern star point eclipsed by two rows of letters. The top row is Cryllic: 5 characters.
Below that are 5 letters KEPECT.(which is what I think the Cryllic letters mean)
The stout 5" long X 1 1/8th" slightly clipped blade is most likely made of 440C stainless. The wooden handle has a single finger groove ala Griffin from Randall. The hilt is stainless, cut down on top and a short 3/8th " long one underneath. There's the numbers: 08.278. stamped at the blade base. One wood spacer and one stainless spacer. Same at both ends but the pommel has a cap of stainless. Does anybody know who this maker is? The former owner was into Exotic firearms. Could this knife be associated with any aspect of the Russian Military? Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks.
PS.I,d like to post some pics but I don't see anything I can click on to do that. This is my first Post.I put stuff on Gunbroker all the time. It can't be that hard. Thanks.
