Knife Identification

I acquired some knives in a deal and am trying to find information about them. Is there a particular way for a person to do this? I've been on enough forums to know that it can get annoying when people "drop in" and ask questions. I will say, this has peaked my interest so you may see me more in future, but... I'm not looking for value or anything, more just info. A few have maker's marks (if that's the word), and a few have rough black glass blades.

Anyway, if anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. I have pictures of course.

Thanks in advance.

The knife with the rattlesnake mark was made by Bob Schopp of Helena MT. Its hard to see but there might be the letters BCS included in the snake logo, for Bob and Christine Schopp.
The knife with the Olson stamp could very well be the work of Joe Olson, also of Montana.
Arno Bernard is a South African maker, look him up via Google.
The obsidian blades could be from anywhere, from a custom maker to Museum Replicas. The paw print is pretty common, lots of people use it.
Any markings on the file knife at the top?

Thanks, Arathol. A couple things.

I don't see or can't find a mark on the file knife.

I did Google Arno Bernard, and found a lot of stuff obviously.
What is that dimpling on the blade called?

I will google the other names and do some research. Thanks for the information!

My wife bought me a Bob Schopp knife from Cabelas, shortly after we got married ( late 80's), it has the rattlesnake and BCS mark. But my knife looks exactly like the knife pictured with the Olson mark. They might have worked together.
I can tell you, the steel on mine is very hard and it took me quite awhile to re profile the edge after I got it. The blades are made from old saw blades.

On the Olsen Knife, it was made by Pete Olsen. He was Schopp's friend, and took the business over when Schopp passed.

In regards to the Arno Bernard knife, I contacted the website with that name but they told me they don't make them, "my dad" does so it makes it harder to find. He did say it is a one off and uses n690 steel. Pretty cool. Wish I knew when it was possibly made. The mark is different than I typically find in image searches.
