knife in Tomb Raider movie?

As I recall it appeared to be a Cheap POS Mexican "NATO" OTF with a ring attached so he could look cool spinning in it one scene.

 
i agree.

plus,he wouldnt have been able to throw the knife and make it stick.its just not balanced right,and its a POS that wouldnt take the abuse.
 
There was a knife the that movie? All I saw was Angelina! What a babe. Of course, she was wearing entirely too much clothing though.

In the "Tomb Raider Technical Manual" Lara's carries a Gerber Guardian on her pack and there's a few pics of her Match HK USP's and custom holsters.
 
I don't know, but I doubt it was a POS knife. Movies like that usually go for specially made pieces. As for throwing, you can throw anything. In fact that particular blade looked pretty good for blade throwing because it was probably handle heavy. Sure it might have broken if it was thrown for real into anything hard (hard wood for example), but into the boy friend's abdomen... no problem!

As to the throwing, Special Effects all the way.

Has Billy Bob made some comment on the movie? I missed that. Love his sense of humor... He has cute girlfriends too.
 
Somebody mentioned Laura Croft used a Gerber Guardian... is this correct? I know it was a Gerber, and the ankle sheath was clearly marked Gerber, But the knife seemed a bit bigger than a Guardian, I thought it was maybe a new model???
