Just watched the movie "Wind River" and it was incredible--bleak, intense, but great performances. It's by Taylor Sheridan, the screenwriter of "Hell or High Water" and "Sicario" and stars Jeremy Renner. Anyway, in a scene toward the end Renner pulls out a small to moderate-sized (3-4") modified tanto folder. I tried to pause the film and got a pretty good look at it but couldn't identify it. From the blurry freeze-frame it looked like maybe a Boker Plus logo on the blade, which had a thumb stud and possibly some spine jimping; couldn't see the handle. I looked through Boker's online catalog without finding a match--even tried Emerson, CKRT, and ZT. The only online info on the movie was about the firearms. If any of you saw the movie and noticed the knife, I'd appreciate knowing what it was. Thanks!

Embarrassed to say I'm not high tech enough. Plus I already sent the disc back...

I don't know the make of the knife but I agree that "Wind River" is indeed a great movie as are the other two you mentioned. I hope Sheridan keeps writing more screen plays.

Sorry guys for digging out this old thread. Just watched that movie and was asking me the same.

(AFAIK, BladeHQ is a sponsor, so linking is ok. My apologies if this is no longer the case.)

Probably accurate to the character as he isn't "hunting" for food and the knife might have been issued. Incredible yet stark and chilling movie. I had to look into the accuracy of the numbers mentioned in that movie because of how horrible it seemed. Sad to hear about such horrible living conditions in our own country.
