Hi all,

First post here. I’ve never been much of a knife person, but I just inherited a bunch of pocket knives from my grandfather (he died 25 years ago but we just found the box, long story). Most of them I was able to research, but these two I cannot find anything about and was wondering if anybody could educate me. Any idea when these were were made (most of his other knives seem to be late 60s to early 80s)? Are these custom made or would there be a bunch of them out there? They are both mirror shiny so maybe they have a chrome finish? I assume based on the finish they were made to be looked at and not to be used. What little I could find about Sawby Mullin it seems like they are nice knives and Dick Dorough I have no idea. My grandfather put a little sticky label inside the sheath of the Dick Dorough and wrote "folding boot knife" if that helps. Thanks in advance for any info you can offer.

Dick Dorough made knives from the late 1960s until 1995 when he retired.

Sawby Mullin is Steve Mullin and Scott Sawby, made sometime between 1976 and 1983.

Good knives by known makers. Don't do anything with them until you know exactly what they are as they could be fairly valuable.
Chrome finish? No, just polished steel.....

Several Sawby-Mullin knives can be found (sold) at Arizona Customs. Some are the same style as yours. You can find them by clicking on "Knives by Maker", going to the "M's", and clicking on "Mullin, Steve".

There are also several Dick Dorough knives there, but none that resemble yours.

Those are Cindy Crawford, Daisy Duking it, at the Pepsi machine, from back in the day; Purdy man.
