knife kit question

So I found the perfect knife for me on the Internet earlier this week. I like every thing about this knife, the blade style, material and looks; sadly it’s a kit knife that will require grinding the bolster and scales. I have no shop skills or tools.

My question is this; are there any knife makers out there that will build a kit knife or build a custom knife from a photo? If anyone is interested in I can send them a link to the site I’m talking about but I’m not sure it would be right of me to post the link on the forum as it’s another guys business (maybe is dosn’t mater).

Thanks,

Scott

I can do it for you, i do have a lot of orders to get out but i think i could fint for a kit knife. if you give me the link ill see what i can do. no thers no problem posting a link.

the delta 5 sure is a nice knife. There would be allot of people here who could build that knife for you, its not that hard to assemble. You should really consider giving it a go your self, you will be allot happier knowing what you've accomplished, you would only need a file or 2 and some sand paper, and the skills required to do a decent job arent that high.
All that said, some people just dont have the interest to make a knife and if your one of those then you've come to the right place, theres knife makers everywhere here, i would sugest getting a price of a couple and then take your best, remembering to compare who is supplying what.

good luck with it,
brett

ya just checked out the knife. it looks like i could do it for around 50 bucks + kit. or you could just send me the kit and the i would just charge you for putting it togather. what kind of handle meterial are you looking for. i have a bunch of cocobolo wood, but i could also make some micarta for your knife out of black canves or jeans it would come out liiking like carbonfiber. now if you wanted the micarta it would be more because i would need to make it and if you went with the cocobolo it would be 7 bucks for a set of scales. but the kit might come with handle meterial. let me know what you want to do.

Guys,

I have to say this is a great group of guys that are interested in helping a new knife guy. I have contacted someone to make the knife for me.

Thanks to all,

Scott
