If you have the time and tools anything can be sharpened, my guess is its mild steel though wont hold anything close to an edge so to answer your question, NO.
 
AUS8 can be ground/sharpened to a very usable edge. I was lucky enough to get a Typhoon when the blade came shaaarp. I love mine, but recommend getting phospor-bronze washers instead of the nylon ones they come with.
