Knife Kits

I am interested in obtaining a knife kit to try my hand at making knives. I've studied it for years but haven't had time to do it. Well...I'm tired of putting it off and want to start. My intent is to eventually grind my own blades, but I've followed some other threads and several have suggested starting with a kit (besides I don't have a lot of tools yet). I really like Rob Simonich's Cetan kits (especially the price!) I would like to see what else is available. Any help?

Thanks,
Jeff Jenness

If you go to www.kmg.org and under members pages there is a menu for suppliers. Just about any of the knifemaker supply houses carry knife kits or blade blanks. Check with Koval, Tru-Grit, K & G, and Texas Knifemakers Supply to list a few.

Try going to a knife show. Alot of times, you will find knife kits or pieces from which you can make your own kit for sale. Along the same lines, you may want to ask knife supply sellers what shows they will be attending so you can check out there stuff.
