knife kits

after making a couple of knives from files, im looking for some knife kits to finish. Being limited to an outside bench for heavy duty shaping with hand files i figure some knife kits would be nice to finish in the comfort of the kitchen on the table. Im looking for web sites that have kits for sale if any one knows of any, you help will be greatly appreciated. Thankyou

Mike, make sure you read my recently completed tutorial. You'll find a link at my homepage below. As far as kits go, I haven't bothered with the mass-produced ones, although it sounds like you can get some pretty decent blades from them. To date, all of mine were made by custom makers, including Jens Anso, Mel "Madpoet" Sorg, Neil Blackwood, and Rob Simonich. Mike Irie also makes nice kits, although I haven't done one of his (yet).
