Does anyone know what the present knife laws are in Italy concerning the sale of switchblades and gravity knives??

I was there years ago and every store had them for sale...same in Spain, and parts of Gernamy.

Does anyone really know what the status is now, as I hear they are not sold, but then see people return with a few they bought while on vacation???

I know that the French Opinel Knives, which are not Switchblades, are pretty popular among Italians. I have heard that Bayonets may not be shipped to Italy (the Post Office won't accept them, so I have heard). I have seen several people from Italy selling Stilleto type switchblades on eBay (they don't cal them switchblades, but they meet the description), and also on non-auction websites.
Some of them are old, though many of them are new. They range from 1.75" blades to very large knives. Some of the advertisers in the gun magazines advertise Italian made switchblades, but who knows where those come fro, since I have never seen one in person.
