Just a disclaimer up front, this is not supported or in anyway connected with the U.S.Army. The knives/leathermans that have been purchased or donated are not and will not be sold, this is not a trick or scam, they are being donated and given away.
With that out of the way, I have been collecting, buying and accepting donations of knives and leatherman type multi-purpose tools. These are going to be given to soldiers I deploy with and if I have more will be given to other soldiers in Iraq.
The reason I started doing this is, I started talking with some of my soldiers and found out that many did not have a good pocket knife or multi-tool. The main reason that came up time after time was lack of funds. If you would like to participate please drop me a line. As with most Army units we will be there for a year or so and I think a good knife and multi type tool is invaulable for a deployment.
