Knife length question?

I live on Long Island, and was wondering if there is a limit on the length of folding knives I could legally posess. I want to get a Cold Steel Voyager Vaquero Serrated XL, blade length is 5.5 inches. Is it legal to own here on Long Island? I dont plan on carrying it in public, just for home. Also, what about fixed blades? Is there a legal blade length limit here on the Island? (again, not going to carry in public). Thanks,

No state has laws restricting the ownership of non-switchblade folding knives, period. NY is no exception. You can get a folder as big as you want, though I would most certainly leave it at home. Fixed blades are not restricted from owning either. Heck, my aunt and uncle live on Long Island and have a wall of swords.
