Knife lock sticks with steel insert??

Hey guys! I just got a Whaleshark today and I love it, but the lock sticks even with a steel insert. I thought the steel insert was to prevent the stick.

I cleaned the tang with alcohol to free it from oil and debris and tried the graphite and sharpie trick, but to no avail.

Will I need to just keep flicking it to break it in?

My Microtech was VERY sticky at first, but broke in quite nicely over time. It is now one of my favorites.

The steel insert is to prevent wear on the titanium lock face. I've never had a sticky one myself.
