Knife loose in kydex sheath

Well, I finally acquired a Badger Attack. I have to agree with all the Busse fans that it is a very well made knife. I haven't used it for anything but cutting up a bunch of cardboard boxes. It performed very well.

My only complaint is that the knife rattles in the kydex sheath. What would be a good way to tighten it up a bit? I understand that kydex is some kind of thermosetting plastic. How much heat is required to move it just a little bit?

Thanks.

P.S. I should mention that the knife is not loose in the sheath. It takes a pretty good pull to remove the knife.

Uffda,

Glad you like your knife.

The quickest remedy for blade rattle is to heat the back of the sheath with a paint stripper heat gun near the point (approx. 1" from the tip and more towards the edge than spine) and, with a leather glove on, press your thumb into it causing a mild indentation. Do this with the knife removed. Let cool. This should take care of any rattle. If it is loose near the handle, simply heat it at the loose area and press in (with knife removed) gently until cool.

Thanks Jerry. I think some of the other guys asked this question in one form or another.
I don't remember seeing a direct answer. This should help.
